Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree (With Anyone Else but Me)-Glenn Miller-1942

The funny thing about this song is that it was actually pretty sexually suggestive for the time.  It is classic big band styling (although there are many versions of the song) and is a slice of the 1940’s.

Whenever I hear this song, I picture men walking around in pork pie hats and pinstripe jackets, ladies with tightly curled hair and frilly dresses and cars from manufacturers like Nash, Studebaker, and International plodding down the road.
